Jodi Dennis
Managing Director, Current Medical Directions Inc

Jodi has 20 years of experience in medical education, marketing, and sales. Bolstered by studies in marketing, architecture, and design, she began her career as a designer for a marketing consultancy, working closely with Fortune 500 companies worldwide to promote strategic clarity, build brand images, and enhance corporate cultures to advance market share and strengthen competitive advantage. Some of Jodi’s clients included JPMorgan Chase, Merrill Lynch, and Coca-Cola. Her next challenge was working for a New York City architecture firm providing high-end design services and innovative marketing solutions for offices, restaurants, and showrooms. Her role at the firm soon expanded from designing to include marketing and sales; working with top New York City real estate and construction companies, Jodi was able to establish a better competitive edge for her firm, which increased her company’s client base, revenues, and profits.

In 1997, Jodi moved from the design industry into medical education. As an account executive at Current Medical Directions Inc (CMD), she worked her way up through the account side of the business to become the head of the accounts group, leading, mentoring, and supervising the Client Services Team. In 2003, Jodi was named one of the managing partners of CMD.

Over the ensuing years, Jodi has managed many educational and promotional programs worldwide for most major pharmaceutical companies—in both the pre- and postlaunch arenas—in a wide range of therapeutic areas. She has developed close working relationships with key opinion leaders in many specialties, especially psychiatry, endocrinology, neurology, sexual health medicine, and pulmonology. Her experience in medical education includes strategic and tactical development in diabetes, respiratory disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, restless legs syndrome, and female sexual health, among others. In 2005, CMD was acquired by Sudler & Hennessey, and Jodi is currently CMD’s Managing Director.
