We are looking for bright, articulate and motivated team players to take on key roles for our pharmaceutical clientsIn these highly visible roles, you will be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients as well as create new client relationships. Additionally, you may serve as the primary client contact, manage promotional medical education programs and participate in proposal and budget development. You are also responsible for the development of new business for the company, either through organic growth for existing accounts, or, the development of new accounts. Travel is required. 

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, 3+ years experience within the pharmaceutical or promotional medical education field, exceptional written and oral communication skills, strong analytical and presentation skills, You must also be well organized, detail oriented and be able to manage multiple programs. Computer proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.

SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Role Summary:

The Senior Account Executive serves as supervisor on one or several accounts within the group.  It is the Senior Account Executive’s  responsibility to develop and coordinate medical educational programs in a variety of media that may include video, print, symposia, exhibits, interactive media, etc.  His or her primary objectives are to ensure the quality of work produced on behalf of these accounts and to maximize the growth of the business on these accounts.

In carrying out these responsibilities, the Senior Account Executive will work with the creative staff at Current Medical Directions (Art Directors, Computer Graphics support personnel, and Editors) as well as with the Traffic Department and Account Services staff at the agency.  The Senior Account Executive will have ongoing contact with Clients, including marketing and product management as well as market research and medical affairs.  The Senior Account Executive will have contact with physicians and clinical investigators, as well as with any number of outside vendors such as printers, video producers, freelance writers, travel bureaus, and hotels.  Travel is required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and coordinate medical education programs, serving as liaison between the client and the expert consultants, coordinating all outside vendors, and supervising creative development and production
  • Identify and recruit consultants, researching the appropriate subject area, making contacts, describing programs, and securing participation
  • Coordinate internal processes, working with editorial and art staff to secure copy and layout of top creative quality and in accordance with client’s needs
  • Develop support staff, working with junior staff members to help them grow towards greater responsibility
  • Generate new business on existing accounts, develop new program ideas that fit the account’s strategic needs. Assist in new business activities for new accounts, as required
  • Utilize successful programs and positive client rapport to increase the business assigned accounts
